Accreditation
The Museum Accreditation Scheme is the industry's minimum standard. It underpins the whole Renaissance in the Regions programme to transform England's regional museum: making them world class and fit for the 21st century.
Accreditation recognises the basic challenges faced by all museums, regardless of scope or scale, and sets a basic attainable level of achievement for everyone working in the sector.
On meeting the standard, museums have proven themselves to be professional organisations that are committed to caring for their collections, and provideing services and activities for the benefit of all users.
