MLA East of England supports the advice service provided by the Collections Trust (formally MDA) at www.collectionslink.org.uk.  Collections Link offers fast, easy access to advice in all areas of collecting and conservation.

Collections and Communities

During the Spring of 2005 MLA East of England commissioned G&T Consulting Ltd to prepare a strategy for the development and use of collections in the East of England.   For more information on this strategy, including a downloadable executive summary, please click here.

Cornucopia

Cornucopia is an online database of information about more than 6,000 collections in the UK's museums, galleries, archives and libraries. For more information, click here.

ARCHON

ARCHON is a central database held centrally on the National Archives' website which has details of collections for individual archive repositories.  Click here for more information.

Designation

Eleven collections in our region are Designated by MLA of international importance and together they represent an extraordinarily rich resource for inspiration and enjoyment.  View Leaflet

Enriching Regions - the Art Fund Collecting Scheme

This scheme aims to help museums in specific regions to collect and is only open to the three regions identified as the most in need - East Midlands, West Midlands and the East of England. The scheme has recently been extended and the deadline for applications is the end of 2008.
